DSM6000 Series Sleeve Machine
The DSM6000 series is a stand alone machine that will place stretch sleeves on cylinders in a
consistent manner reducing waist and cycle time and increasing accuracy and through put.
The sleeve machine will place a section of perforated stretch film over a 20 lb. propane
cylinder. An operator will place the cylinder on the shuttle and slide the shuttle into the
machine which will automatically lock in place. Once locked in position inside the sleeve machine,
the cylinder will be centered at the point where a sleeve can be placed on it and the sleeving
process will begin automatically. The sleeves will be fed from a roll of sleeve stock, one
sleeve at a time. The sleeve stock roll is positioned on an arbor that is mounted on the sleeve
machine. The sleeves will be routed through a series of powered rollers and then indexed to a
point just above the cylinder. A group of pneumatically driven grippers will grip the indexed
sleeve and open the sleeve, which will increase the inside diameter. The grippers will then move
in a downward motion to pull the sleeve from the stock at the perforation line. This downward
motion will also allow the sleeve to be placed over the cylinder. After the sleeve is placed
over the cylinder, the grippers will release the sleeve allowing it to form to the cylinder.
Once the grippers release, the shuttle will be unlocked and the shuttle can slide out and the tank
removed.
The current manual sleeve process can require two people to manually apply the sleeve. This
requires an excessive amount of time and money per cylinder and you are left with a cylinder
that in which the sleeve is applied in an inconsistent manner. Due to the inconsistencies from
manually applying the sleeve you may be wasting a lot of sleeves in the process. This added
time and money due to long cycle times and wasted man hours and material can add up quickly.
With the DSM6000 Series Shuttle sleeve machine you can reduce costs, skilled sleeving labor,
and increase quality. The fully automatic sleeve process is faster and more consistent requiring
less manpower to operate than manual sleeving. This increases throughput, quality, and consistency
while reducing the total cost per cylinder by eliminating waste in both manpower and materials.
The DSM6000 Series Shuttle Sleeve machine operates using standard 120v AC power and is available
with several options including:
- Explosion Proof for Class 1 Div 1 Locations
- Self contained Air Source allowing for hookup anywhere.
- Operator Interface Terminal for easy operation, historical
- data, through put, production counts, etc.
This allows you to use the DSM6000 virtually anywhere
